How to say anticoagulant in Cantonese

In Mandarin “anticoagulant” is “kang ning xue yao” (anticoagulant medicine, anticoagulant medication) or “kang ning xue ji” (anticoagulant agent), the latter being more commonly used.

In Cantonese it would therefore be “hong ning hu”t yok” or “hong ning hu”t gay”.

In vernacular Cantonese, one would say: “hong ning hu”t dik yok”, literally “resist coagulation of blood (of) medicine”.
