Baking soda on athlete’s foot burns

Yes. Baking soda on athlete’s foot and baking soda on crotch itch will burn, and burn like hell, if the skin between the toes infected by athlete’s foot and the crotch is moist and wet.

The baking soda is a dehydrating agent and it “sucks” the moisture out of the skin. When it does that, it mixes with the moisture and produces a very small amount of oxygen but this small amount of oxygen is enough to “kill” the tinea pedis and the tinea corporis. As the fungi die, one feels burning.

For example, after applying baking soda on moist crotch itch, the burning continues even after applying more baking soda and the area feels dry by touch.
