Dry skin (psoriasis), althlete’s foot (tinea pedis), crotch itch and palm itch (tinea corporis), all cause itching.

Hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, good scotch whiskey, vodka, gao liang, bamboo clear and such drinks can stop the itch. So does baking soda, baby powder (talcum), ammonia, bleach and lysol. Non-prescription fungal creams can also stop itching.

Avoid any prescription fungal creams or skin creams that contain corticosteroids. You will get fibromyalgia and other disorders using prescription skin creams containing corticosteroids. Use soap, water, and a very rough scrubbing pad instead. Sometimes, getting a tan inside a tanning bed, going to the beach to get a healthy dose of sunshine are much healthier remedies.

Garlic, ginger, tea tree oil, also stop itching. A scrubbing pad with a lot of soap used to give the skin a heavy scrubbing will also stop itching very effectively.
