Break rib drunk [sic]

In response, not in jest.

One of the side effects of alcohol and sugar besides ruining the liver, the kidney, the brain, is a leaching effect on the bones. Calcium is lost. This can be demonstrated by pickling fish in vinegar. The fish bones become soft. However, several good shots of whiskey affect the brain’s ability to coordinate muscle movement immediately. Long term abuse of alcohol tends to affect the calcium levels in the bones and the cells. This could be a possible explanation for “break rib drunk.”
