When to let a scab harden?

In response.

A scab must be allowed to harden in all cases and in all situations. Scabs must be allowed to form and to dry and to harden. The open wound under the scab cannot close and will not close and will not heal completely if the scab does not harden and does not dry. Dry scab will fall off by itself.

Not letting a scab harden is equal to not allowing the skin and wound under the scab to heal!
