Does surge of blood pressure cause strokes?

In response. YES! YES! YES!

Surge of blood pressure is the major cause of strokes! A blood pressure of 238 surging to 278-283 while casually cleaning windows will instantly cause a microstroke as the emergency room doctor described it or a ministroke and put you into a coma for 15 minutes. When the ambulance arrives and takes one to the hospital emergency room, one will “float in and out of coma for about three hours”. This was a real case (Southwest Memorial Hospital, 2006, as I recall).

The surge was caused by a spike in blood pressure and the “coma” was induced by a “diabetic shock.”
