Back and hips lock up

In response.

Back and hips lock up in at least three situations: (1) while playing golf, after playing golf as one turns around to walk to the golf cart; (2) reaching forward with one’s arm while bending over a table in an attempt to reach across the table; and (3) lifting a weight incorrectly while working in the storeroom of a supermarket or a big retail outlet.

“back and hips lock up” is very common among storeroom workers and golfers.

Once a friend was reaching across a big table when his back and hips locked up. He yelled for me to come over. I applied acupressure to several trigger points on the lower back several times to release the “lock”.
