Pricks in hands

In response.

Yes, pricks in hands indicate that the nerve impulses are meeting resistance and are misfiring. Pricks in hands are nerve reactions (not nervous reactions) to muscle fatigue, a lack of oxygen and blood flow to the hands due to overworking the fingers or due to extreme underworking of the fingers. If one sleeps right in front of a fan at night with the arms exposed to the draft, one’s hand will feel pricks after one awakens. This is because the draft took away some body heat of the arm and the muscles tightened up during sleep. Nerve impulses could not go through as smoothly as when the body temperature is warmer, and the tips of the nerves would misfire because the tightened muscles had hindered the smooth passage of the nerve impulses.
