(1) Wear a wrist band. (2) Rub the wrist and hands with a heavy dose of vapor rub or muscle pain relief gel. (3) Keep the hand warm by wearing gloves while playing golf and swinging the golf club. (4) Hold the golf club with the hands at a lower position, at least half way “down” the leather-wrapped handle. (5) Swing without moving or bending the wrist. (6) Use a shorter club. Longer clubs require standing further away from the ball, and the weight of the club may be too heavy for the wrist to handle after surgery. Putt with a putter or swing with a shorter club so as to keep the wrist rigid without bending when swinging.
