A simple stretching exercise
Incorporated in the Da Guang Ming routine of exercises is a stretching and bending exercise that is relatively easy and very beneficial. I recommend only the stretching but not the bending.
Stand up with feet apart at shoulder width. Raise the arms up over the head while inhaling. Grab the right wrist with the left hand and pull upwards six times. Bring the arms down slowly while exhaling. Then raise the arms up over the head again while inhaling, grab the left wrist with the right hand and pull upwards six times. Bring the arms down slowly while exhaling. While doing this exercise, keep the feet flat on the floor, do not raise the heels nor tip the toes.
This stretching exercise can straighten a crooked and bent spine and realign the muscles. It can also alleviate lower back pain after driving in a low bucket seat with four wheels attached to it for an extended period.
This stretching exercise is surprisingly invigorating.
