Newcastle disease suspected in Hong Kong

On August 8, August 9 and August 10, 2014, a total of 2,000 30-day old to 50-day old chickens have suddenly died. Hong Kong’s animal health authority has preliminarily ruled out bird flu and suspects that Newcastle disease may be to blame.
