China’s HIV cases soar 59.1%

According to the deputy director of the HIV AIDs prevention research center of the Hospital of Chinese Medicine of the Chinese Medicinal Sciences Academy Wang Jian, during the first ten months of 2014, there were 2080 new HIV cases, a 59.1% increase from the number in 2013.  According to a study by the Ningbo City Disease Control Center, at the end of 2014, Ningbo city has had over 30 new cases of HIV infection, and 80% of the cases involved sexual contact between male college students.
