Yellow toenails

In response:

Yellow toenails

Yellow toenails are common with people who have athlete’s foot or foot fungus.  The yellow flakes and the yellow stuff under the toenails are dead skin produced by the athlete’s foot fungi.

The way to get rid of the yellow flakes and clean up the dead skin is to soak the feet in hydrogen peroxide for 15 to 20 minutes until the flaky stuff becomes soft and can be easily removed.
