Chinese mainland dust clouds invade Taiwan

Heavy dust clouds from the Chinese mainland arrived in the afternoon on February 20, 2016, and will remain over Taiwan and its outlying islands of Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu until the morning of February 22, 2016.

In the afternoon of February 20, 2016, the PM10 counts over Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu were 100 to 150 micrograms/cubic meter while the count of PM10 over Taiwan island itself were 70 to 80 micrograms/cubic meter.  On February 21, 2016, a mixture of PM10 and PM2.5 dust clouds are seen over Taiwan.
