Do you hear the youths of Hong Kong cry?

Do you hear the youths of Hong Kong cry?
Do you know why they are crying?
Do you understand why they are angry?
They are crying out to preserve their freedom and autonomy!
When they raise their fists and their umbrellas in protest,
they are met with pepper spray and arrests.
When they confront police brutality, they are called radical separatists.
They are the natives of Hong Kong.
They are the indigenous youths of Hong Kong.
“Stand with us to fight tyranny,” they cry  out.
But do you hear their pleading shouts?
To the north lies tyranny, to the south is the sea.
They fight alone to be free.
Do you hear their cries for the right to be free?
