Combined hepatitis A and HIV increase fourfold in Taiwan

From January to March, 2016, 76 people have been infected by hepatitis A, a fourfold increase from the same period in 2015.  Among them, 32 males also have HIV.

From June 2015 to March 10, 2016, a total of 79 people have a combination of hepatitis A and HIV.  They average 30.8 years old, and they are all between 22 and 47 years old, and 44.3% of them live in New Taipei City, 29.1% live in Taipei, and 8.9% of them live in Taoyuan City.  Doctors say the combination of hepatitis A and HIV is the result of sexual activity between males.
