Taiwan’s large intestine cancer
Currently in Taiwan, 14,965 new cases of large intestine cancer are discovered every year. This is 11.9 times the number in 1979. Among women, the increase is 13 times.
The number of new large intestine cancer patients between 50 and 59 years old increased by 141% from 2006 to 2016. Only 2% of young white collar workers have had any fecal tests for tumors in the large intestine. On Taiwan, large intestine tumor growth begins around age 35.
