China Airlines to fly new A350-900XWB to Europe
The first of four new generation A350-900XWB aircraft will be delivered in July, 2016, and the rest within the year, for China Airlines direct flights to Amsterdam, Rome, Vienna, and Frankfurt at the end of the year. The A350-900XWB is 17% more fuel efficient. It will have 306 seats with a luxury business class and a “luxury economy class” and Europe interior décor.
China Airlines will offer 16 weekly nonstop flights from Taipei to Europe beginning at the end of this year.
However, starting from June, 2016, China Airlines will increase its number of flights between Taoyuan and Vancouver from the current 5 flights a week to 11 flights a week. Eva Air currently offers 5 flights from Taoyuan to Vancouver and 5 flights from Taoyuan to Toronto. At present, the number of flights offered by China Airlines and Eva Air from Taoyuan International Airport to Canada is 15 per week. Starting in June, China Airlines will add 6 more flights to Vancouver per week.
