Taiwan has second case of zika infection

A 34-year-old Thai man entered Taoyuan International Airport on May 19, 2016, with symptoms indicating a “fear of cold”.  He was sent for a blood test and on May 21, 2016, the Taiwanese health authorities confirmed that he has a zika infection.  On January 10, 2016, a Thai man entered the Taoyuan International Airport with a fever.  At 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2016, he was confirmed to have been infected by the zika virus.  At 6:30 p.m. on May 21, 2016, Taiwan’s health authorities held a news briefing to announce that since January 19, 2016, Taiwan has two cases of zika infections.  Both men from Thailand came from the Udon Thani area in northern Thailand.
