Taiwan has 45,000 stay home dads

In 2015, Taiwan has 45,000 stay home dads and 2,471,000 stay home moms, 54.911 times the number of stay home dads.

In 2013, the number of married women between 15 and 64 years old who had a job before marriage was 83.4%, 26.8% quit their jobs because of marriage, and 21% quit their jobs after their first born.

In 2015, Taiwan’s female job market participation rate of women under age 60 reached 50.7% while Taiwan’s male job market participation rate of men under age 60 was 66.9%.  In 2014, Taiwan’s female job market participation rate was 50.6%, slightly higher than Japan’s 49.2% but lower than Hong Kong’s 54.6%, Singapore’s 58.6% and South Korea’s 51.3%.

In 2015, 2,470,000 Taiwanese women had jobs.
