Not getting enough sleep!

A September, 2016, survey of 2000 questionnaire responses from 21 elementary, middle and high schools in 21 counties in Taiwan conducted by a “Golden Vehicle Cultural and Educational Foundation” shows that in general, 68.3% of high  school students “do not want to attend class at school” because they are “not getting enough sleep”, 69% of middle school students and 57.7% of elementary school students also say they “do not want to attend class at school” because they are “not getting enough sleep”.

Other reasons cited for not wanting to attend class at school include too much homework (27.7%), “cannot understand classroom studies” (21.5%), “being disliked by the teacher” (6.3%), “fear of being bullied” (4.9%).

Students who say they like going to school cite “friendship among schoolmates” (73.9%), “school activities” (36%), and “teacher-student interaction” (32%).
