Should legalization of same sex marriage be put to a public vote?

This is the question a November 22-25, 2016, Yahoo Taiwan survey asked.  There were 2,636 responses.  There were 55.9% who said “yes”, 38.8% who said “no”, 5.3% had no opinion.

When asked about the respondents’ sexual preference, 82.8% said “towards the opposite sex”, 10.2% said “same sex”, 3.7% said “bisexual”, 2.0% said “do not know”, and 1.3% said “other”.

I wonder what those 2.0% who said “do not know” mean and what those 1.3% who said “other” mean?

Is it possible that one does not know what one’s sexual preference is and what “other” sexual preference is there?
