Apparently on December 25, 2016, the high school students who played Nazi dress up wrote a letter to President Tsai Ing-wen asking her which country’s president is she, and why is she standing on the side of the Israeli and German representatives on Taiwan in condemning their “apolitical” Nazi display. They say they had no political intention, and that it was just a dress up show.
These despicable high school students’ defense of their dress up show reveals a complete lack of moral and conscientious sensibility and a complete lack of any capacity and capability for any conscientious sensibility.
Taiwan’s high school education has completely failed to educate its students.
The Israeli Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei and the German Institute in Taipei both issued statements about the incident. The Israeli office issued its statement in English and the German Institute issued its statement in German.
I find the German statement to be much more powerful than the English statement issued by the Israeli office in Taipei. Here is the German statement:
