Heat stroke causes brain damage

On August 7, 2017, a 59-year-old worker worked for two hours outdoors and suffered a heat stroke with 40% of his limbs suffering from sunburn.  His body temperature hit 43.9 degrees C or 111.02 degrees F and his blood pressure dropped to 60/40 mmHg.  He was in a coma for 16 hours in the ICU.  He suffered multiple organ failure and acute brain damage.

Three junior middle school students suffered heat strokes after running for 40 minutes at 3 p.m. on August 10, 2017 in Taipei.  When they were sent to the hospital, their body temperature was 40.2 degrees C or 104.36 degrees F.

Such is the utter ignorance of the Taiwanese!
