Yeah! According to Taiwan’s national health research institute, 13,000,000 Taiwanese have metabolic disease risk factors related to non-viral liver cancer factors, specifically, fatty liver, history of diabetes, and high triglyceride risk factors.
Before 2004, liver cancer was the number one cause of all cancer deaths in Taiwan. After 2004, lung cancer surpassed liver cancer as the number one cause of all cancer deaths. On average, 11,000 people are diagnosed with liver cancer each year. Liver cancer is also the second major cause of death among Taiwan’s female cancer patients.
