Taiwan to study medical puzzle
Taiwan will attempt to study a curious medical phenomenon that has now become a medical puzzle.
It has been found that 60% of lung cancer sufferers are nonsmokers, only 40% have been chain smokers. And more women who are nonsmokers are getting lung cancer while the number of men getting the illness has been lessening. Each year in Taiwan, 9,000 people die from lung cancer.
The study will rely on LDCT scans, i.e., Low Dose Computed Tomography scans to find out the causes of this phenomenon.
