Taiwan to start trace element research with Russian help

On October 24, 2019, Anatol Skalny and ISTERH (International Society for Trace Element Research in Humans) visited Taiwan to establish Taiwan’s first trace element research center with the Tri-Services General Hospital.

Taiwan signed its first cooperative agreement with the Russian Foundation for Basic Research in 1998 and subsequently with the Russian Sciences Foundation and the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The plan is to establish research of trace elements in medicine throughout Taiwan’s hospitals.

This is a good opportunity for Russian researchers to seek opportunities in Taiwan to help the Tri-Services General Hospital establish and develop trace elements research in medicine.
