Taiwan’s disabled population grows

Taiwan’s disabled population is growing by 30,000 annually.

In 2019, there are 794,000 disabled Taiwanese, and by 2020, there will be 820,000 disabled Taiwanese.

As of August, 2019, Taiwan has 39,000 disabled senior care givers, and by the end of 2019, Taiwan should have 42,000 disabled senior care givers.

A calculation with these figures show that currently, every disabled senior care giver has to take care of (794,000/39,000) = 20.358974 disabled seniors.  In 2020, every disabled senior care giver will have to take care of (820,000/42,000) = 19.5238 disabled seniors.

This is why the immediate immigration of female Syrian Kurdish refugees and their children to Taiwan is urgently needed.
